Casper

Casper is a sweet young boy who has been with us since August 4, 2023. He is very timid and cautious at the moment because he was unfortunately dragged with a catch pole and treated very poorly before arriving at the shelter. We are working with Casper to help him overcome some fear-based reactivity and food resource guarding before he is ready to go to his forever home. We know that with patience and the right environment, Casper will blossom into a wonderful companion.

Ideal Home

Casper would thrive in a calm, patient, and understanding home. A home that can provide him with a safe space to continue building his confidence will be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Casper is currently working through some behavioral challenges related to his past trauma. We are committed to his progress and are seeking a home that can continue the positive reinforcement training he is receiving.

Training & Support

Casper is showing some fear-based reactivity and food resource guarding. We are actively working with him using positive reinforcement methods. We would be thrilled to partner with a force-free positive reinforcement trainer who might be willing to volunteer a few hours to help Casper build his confidence and learn new skills.
