Gina is a 1-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing 56lbs. She was found abandoned as a tiny puppy, sleeping in a cardboard box by a busy road. Despite her rough start, Gina has blossomed in her foster home and is now ready to find her forever family! She's a smart, toy-loving pup who enjoys playing with her foster siblings and is eager to please.
Ideal Home
Gina would do best in an active home with someone who will play with her daily. She would thrive with a family who understands what it means to raise a big, active pup into a well-mannered adult. We’re looking for adopters who will provide her with regular socialization, positive training, and plenty of outlets for exercise, play, and enrichment. She would do best with another dog in the home to keep her company and help her burn off puppy energy. Gina would likely do well with older children (10 and up) who are dog-savvy, as she can be jumpy when excited. A cat-free home is recommended as she can be overly enthusiastic about neighborhood kitties.

Training & Support
Gina is house-trained and crate-trained, able to be crated for up to 8 hours. She walks pretty well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She does prefer to eat her treats alone and is in the "puppy velociraptor stage," so she will need guidance on appropriate chew toys. She is a bit apprehensive of unfamiliar dogs and will bark at those she doesn't know, and will do best with slow introductions due to a past attack by adult dogs.

Transportation
Gina is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX. She can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is found. Transports run every few weeks and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
