Hassie

Hassie is a beautiful girl with the sweetest face, ready to find her forever family! She landed in the shelter through no fault of her own but is confident the right humans for her are out there. Hassie is looking for her people – the ones that will love her unconditionally and spoil her rotten with lots of walks, doggy playdates, and snuggles on the couch. Be careful, she might use her puppy dog eyes to get lots of extra treats from you! Hassie is a sweet, loving girl who truly bonds to her people. She is eager to please and leash trained. She sleeps through the night in a crate easily. She loves walks and playing fetch, which she could do for hours!

Ideal Home

Hassie is looking for a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. We do not recommend her for a home with kids.

Ongoing Health

Hassie tested positive for heartworms but has been treated. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment.

Training & Support

Hassie is leash trained and crate trained, sleeping through the night easily. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
