Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd. He came to us from a hoarding situation with over 40 dogs. While the dogs were fed and kept reasonably clean, Riggs is still catching up on some of the basics of everyday life due to a lack of socialization. He's a natural introvert who prefers a calm approach and a little time to observe before engaging. Riggs enjoys the company of other dogs and cats, and he would do best in a home with a confident, friendly dog who can provide a good example and help him feel more secure.

Ideal Home

Riggs needs a fenced yard for safety and to help him feel more comfortable, as he is sensitive to loud noises and sudden commotion. He would do best in a calm environment with respectful older children (10+) who understand his need for a quiet demeanor. He is not a fan of screeching, grabbing, running, or high-energy younger children.
