Drax *Diabetic*

Drax is a sweet 24.4 lb male, approximately 7 years old, with a unique blend of Pomeranian and Siberian Husky. He was surrendered to our rescue and is looking for a quiet companion to share his days with. Drax is a smart boy who handles his daily insulin shots and eye drops like a champ. He loves to soak up the sun, but only when his favorite people are nearby – he's not a fan of being left outside alone. While he's generally quiet, he might offer a little "talk" now and then, which is characteristic of Huskies. Drax gets along well with other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. He's also a good boy when it comes to crate-trained car rides. He will make an excellent companion for someone looking for a laid-back friend to hang out with or go for leisurely walks.

Ideal Home

Drax would thrive in a home where he can be close to his family. He does not do well being left outside by himself.

Ongoing Health

Drax is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice daily. He also has some vision loss due to his condition.

Training & Support

Drax is very smart and takes his medications like a pro. He rarely barks, except to communicate, which is typical of Huskies.
