Fuji is the embodiment of pure joy, with a smile that could light up a room and a tail that wags with infectious enthusiasm. She's a house-trained, crate-trained superstar who settles down nicely, though she does have a soft spot for feather pillows! Fuji is a social butterfly who thrives in the company of other dogs and is eager to make new canine friends. Her joyful energy makes her an excellent adventure buddy, and she'd be a perfect companion for a family with older children. She's even been tested with farm animals and showed an impressive calmness around chickens! Fuji is also curious about cats and would likely enjoy playing with a confident, dog-savvy feline friend or one who doesn't mind a playful pup.
Ideal Home
Fuji is seeking an active home with adults or families with older children who will appreciate her zest for life and return her boundless affection. A home with another dog who is looking for a best friend would be ideal, as Fuji loves to be a "shadow" to her canine companions.
Ongoing Health
Fuji tested positive for heartworm disease prior to her arrival. She will be treated by our organization and will require a recovery period of two weeks before adoption. Potential adopters will receive comprehensive information about heartworm disease and the steps needed to complete her recovery process, including monthly preventative medication.
Training & Support
Fuji is house-trained and crate-trained. She is learning how to interact with cats and may need continued guidance to understand their cues for playtime.
