Lucky and Piper

Lucky and Piper are two incredibly bonded boys looking for their forever home together! Lucky, a 7-year-old, 55lb American Pitbull Terrier mix, is a devoted shadow who blossoms with trust and thrives on positive reinforcement. He knows 'sit,' 'come,' 'whistle recall,' and 'shake,' and excels with treat-based training. Piper, a gentle 12-year-old, 68lb Hound mix (turning 13 in May), brings a calm presence to any environment. He's friendly with dogs, children, cats, and people, cherishing soft beds, routines, and peaceful moments. These two have shared a deep bond, and their continued companionship is essential for their well-being.

Ideal Home

A securely fenced yard is a must for Lucky due to his prey drive, and they need a home without cats, birds, or small animals. Lucky does best with a patient, experienced guardian who understands his need to approach people on his own terms. He has warmed to women and female-led households, and a home that can provide ramp or step access for vehicles would be ideal for him.

Ongoing Health

Lucky requires daily medication to manage anxiety during severe weather and fireworks. Both boys are microchipped, current on parasite prevention, and scheduled for routine veterinary care.

Training & Support

Lucky thrives with positive reinforcement and treat-based learning. He needs time and space to feel safe and build trust. Piper is naturally easygoing and friendly.
