About Chip

Chip is about a year old, around 53 pounds, and an American Bully mix built like a tank but emotionally… a soft marshmallow with opinions. He’s got that classic bully look—big head, sturdy build, and the kind of face that makes people stop mid-sentence and immediately reach down to pet him (which he fully expects). Chip is confident, social, and fully committed to being involved in whatever you’re doing. He loves people, greets everyone like they’ve been personally invited, and carries himself like life is meant to be enjoyed. Life with Chip is not boring. He’s a toy hoarder, a professional splooter, and emotionally available but also slightly dramatic—which honestly feels like a fair trade. He’ll play hard, make you laugh, and then absolutely collapse into a snoring, upside-down situation like he just wrapped a 12-hour shift. He loves walks, thrives on playtime, and will absolutely choose a good rope toy over most responsibilities. Water? Big fan. Tug of war? Even bigger fan. He’s also smart—crate trained, potty trained, knows his commands, and responds really well to structure. He’s got that “I want to get it right” mindset, he just needs someone who can meet him there and keep things consistent. Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again. Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

Ideal Home

Chip would do best in a home that appreciates a dog with personality—someone active, engaged, and ready for a dog who’s going to be part of everything. He can live with other dogs with proper introductions and currently coexists with a cat without issue. He’s not a background dog. He’s not low-energy. He’s not forgettable. He’s the kind of dog you build your routine around—and end up loving every second of it. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
