Junior Bear the Tongue Out Sweetheart

Junior Bear looks like a wonderfully unique blend of a gentle old soul, a fluffy polar bear cub, and a beloved animated character! He was found in rough condition but has blossomed beautifully, with his coat returning and his cuteness growing daily. His perpetually expressive face, complete with a little tongue that often peeks out, combined with his shy and sweet nature, makes him utterly captivating. He’s the kind of dog who slowly but surely wins your heart over with his hilarious expressions and loving personality.

Ideal Home

Junior Bear would thrive in a home with patient, understanding individuals who appreciate his need for slow introductions and gentle handling. He does well with other dogs, especially those that are lower to medium energy and respectful of his space, and has also shown to be very respectful of cats. A home with some outdoor access, like a small yard, would be beneficial for him to build confidence.

Ongoing Health

Junior Bear is a rescue and his exact breed mix and age are a mystery, but he is believed to be a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix, approximately 6 years old and around 50 lbs. All necessary vetting is included with his adoption.

Training & Support

Junior Bear is crate trained and quiet in the home. He walks well on leash when allowed to lead at his own pace with minimal leash pressure; too much pressure can cause him to freeze. He responds well to calm energy, soft voices, and being spoken to gently. He needs time to observe and feel safe before fully opening up, but once he trusts you, he becomes very affectionate.
