Boots has already beaten the odds once, and now he's looking for the family he's always deserved. This handsome young Shepherd/Collie mix was rescued from a crowded Texas shelter where he was at risk due to kennel space. Thankfully, Boots was given a second chance and is now safe in our care, ready to start the next chapter of his life. At just over a year old and around 50 pounds, Boots is the perfect combination of playful, affectionate, and eager to please. He loves people and isn't shy about showing it – whether he's leaning into your legs for pets, offering a play bow, or hopping up with soft paws to ask for attention. He already knows "sit," appears to be house-trained, and takes treats gently. Boots is a social butterfly with other dogs and has consistently excelled in playgroups, earning "Rockstar status" for his friendly, playful nature. He enjoys canine companions and would love a dog friend to romp around with. He is a happy, loving boy who has endured uncertainty and change but still greets the world with a wagging tail and a hopeful spirit. Now all Boots needs is a family willing to give him the stability, love, and commitment he deserves.
