Hogan

Hogan is an 8-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix with the soul of a gentleman and the energy of a puppy! He narrowly escaped death row at a Kansas shelter, and now he's soaking up every new experience like the resilient, curious boy he is. He is loving, attentive, and just craving the kind of attention and stability he deserves. His previous owner surrendered him for having "too many dogs" — so this sweet boy hasn't always had the spotlight he deserves. He's a little shy in new environments at first, but watch out — once he warms up, he is ALL heart. Hogan is well behaved in adoption environments. Don't let the "senior" label fool you — Hogan is NOT your average 8-year-old! He has the zoomies, the love, and the loyalty to fill your home with joy for years to come.

Ideal Home

Hogan would likely do best in a home without cats. Older children are great for Hogan, but no infants or toddlers due to his initial nervousness. He will need a secure 6-foot fence or a committed leash-walker, as he can easily clear a 4-foot fence.

Ongoing Health

Hogan is neutered and fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Hogan is house-trained and kennel-trained. He is not reactive to other dogs on walks and is not a big barker, though he will alert you when someone is at the door. He loves walks and has plenty of energy.
