Tapper is a 2-year-old, 55-pound retriever mix with white paws that look like he's ready for dance class—but don’t worry, he’s way more into belly rubs than Broadway. This guy is the perfect mix of playful and chill: he’s got enough pep to keep you laughing, but his real specialty is flopping over for a good scratch and staying there as long as you’ll let him. He’s a total people-pleaser—smart, eager to learn, and already picking up commands like “heel” and “wait” like it’s no big deal. He loves his red ball, lives for walks, and gets along great with other dogs who enjoy a good romp without too much drama. Cats, though? Hard pass. Tapper thinks they’re suspicious and honestly, he doesn’t have the time. Tapper’s also got strong opinions about loyalty. He’s not the clingy type, but he will follow you from room to room just to see if you’re doing anything interesting (like walking past the treat jar or sitting down where he can wedge himself next to you). He doesn’t need a huge yard or a high-octane lifestyle. He just wants to be part of your crew—whether you’re taking a stroll, watching TV, or handing out bonus snacks for no reason. Give him a soft spot to land, a little structure, and regular belly rubs, and he’ll give you 100% of his goofy, loving, tap-shoe-wearing self. Tapper is ready to be your favorite part of the day.
