Penny Love is a beautiful Lab mix, approximately 1.5 years old and weighing around 70 lbs. She possesses an effortless charm, exuding a calm, loving, and steady presence that makes her feel like an instant classic. Penny is easygoing, kind-hearted, and a total package, being dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and possessing a balanced temperament that makes life with her simple and comfortable. She's the kind of companion who seamlessly fits into your world and quickly becomes the best part of your everyday routine. Penny is a rescue dog, and while we can't guarantee breed or age, her foster home describes her as an absolute dream from day one. She has a beautifully laid-back energy, often found relaxing and enjoying being near her people, embodying a rare "young dog with an old soul" vibe. While she loves being close to her humans, she's not clingy, offering perfect companionship without being overwhelming.
Ideal Home
Penny Love would do best in a home with a calm, mature doggy friend who enjoys company but doesn't demand constant play, and who will respect her space. If you don't have other dogs, Penny is perfectly content being the sole canine companion, as she is happiest surrounded by her favorite people and truly loves everyone. She also co-exists well with cats, particularly those who are aloof and keep to themselves, similar to her foster cats. A home with a nice big backyard where she can roam, play, and relax in the sun would be ideal, though she could also thrive in an apartment due to her mellow nature.
Ongoing Health
Penny Love is a rescue and all necessary vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, has been completed. She has also been heartworm tested.
Training & Support
Penny is potty trained and is working on becoming more comfortable with a crate. She is learning basic commands such as "sit" and is eager to please. She enjoys casual strolls and is a wonderful snuggle pal. Penny has wonderful house manners and is respectful in the home.

Penny is located in Texas and transportation is available nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT). You will be able to track her journey in real time.
