Bruce

Everyone, meet Bruce! This big, handsome German Shepherd is a true head-turner, and he's ready to find his forever people. Bruce came to us after being dumped and severely underweight, surviving on trash and gravel. Our vet estimates he's between 5-7 years old. Despite his tough start, Bruce is an incredible dog with a sweet, playful personality and so much love to give. He weighed 89lbs upon arrival and still needs to gain a little more weight. He's gorgeous, and we know he'll turn heads wherever you take him!

Ideal Home

Bruce is good with every dog he's met and has been around children, including a 2.5-year-old. However, please note that Bruce is a large dog and, like all big dogs, he can easily knock down a small child when excited. He loves to play and chase toys, and he's affectionate and eager to be with his people.

Ongoing Health

Bruce is up-to-date on all vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and on preventative medication.

Training & Support

Bruce pulls on the leash when going out the door, so he will need someone willing to continue working with him. He has already made tremendous progress and is eager to please. Due to his size, we recommend supervision around very small children, not because he is aggressive, but because he can accidentally knock them down when excited. He kennels and crates great and has had no accidents in the house. He is super chill inside and rides well in the car. He also did well at the vet's office.

Transportation

Bruce is located in Cullman, AL. All RRR pups leave the rescue with a leash, collar, scannable QR identification tag, a small starter bag of food, their food bowl, several toys, and a copy of their vet records.
