Huey

Huey is a happy, year-old blue tick hound/heeler mix who has spent the last year in a shelter and is eagerly awaiting a foster or forever home. He is a fast learner who listens well and is making great progress with potty training. Huey is wonderfully patient and gentle with children, moving slower and not being pushy. He also gets along splendidly with other dogs and loves to play. While a bit shy at first with new people, Huey warms up quickly and is calmer and quieter than his siblings. He adores his toys and will even sleep with them, no matter how torn up they get. Huey kennels well but needs a gentle reminder to wait for his food, as he's eager to dive in as soon as it's being poured!
