Meet Petunia! This 40-pound "short stack" sweetheart has officially retired her street life and is ready to settle into the comfort of a real home. After being pulled from a high-kill shelter to give her a second chance at life, she's proven just how gentle and loving she truly is. Petunia is a calm, cuddly girl who enjoys being close to her people and soaking up affection. She also does well with other dogs and is already housebroken, making her an easy addition to a home looking for a steady, affectionate companion. Petunia didn't get much choice in her past, but she's hoping her future looks very different: soft beds, kind hands, and a family to call her own.

Petunia is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which is fully covered by Kerrville Pets Alive.

Training & Support

Petunia is already house-trained and does well with other dogs. If adopted, you'll receive 30 days of free virtual training with a certified trainer thanks to a partnership with Pet Academy.
