Meet Arthur, a charming 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix who is overflowing with personality and affection. Arthur was found as a stray and brought to a shelter, where his sweet nature captured our hearts. Now in a loving foster home, he's ready to find his forever family. Arthur is a delightful blend of playful energy and snuggly warmth, making him the perfect companion for adventures and quiet evenings alike.
Ideal Home
Arthur would thrive in a home that can provide consistent exercise, structure, and plenty of opportunities to be a cherished member of the family. While he doesn't require another dog, he would enjoy a family that loves including their canine companion in daily activities. Due to his size and exuberance, a home with children who are older and understand how to interact with a larger, energetic dog would be ideal, as he could accidentally knock over a small child during play.
Ongoing Health
Arthur is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health issues.
Training & Support
Arthur is house-trained and crate-trained, comfortably settling in his crate for extended periods. He walks well on a leash, though he may pull a bit initially before settling into a rhythm. He absolutely adores car rides and will perk up at the mention of them! Arthur's curiosity around other animals, including cats and pot-bellied pigs, is met with gentle interest rather than aggression. With proper introductions and supervision, he has shown positive interactions with dogs of various sizes.
