Meet Venus! This sweet 5-year-old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, weighing around 45 lbs, is a real gem. Venus is incredibly affectionate, enjoying gentle head rests on laps and gazing with adoration. She's a calm, people-oriented companion, happy to relax on the couch or join you for an outdoor adventure.
Venus enjoys play sessions with other dogs and her foster home has observed her having fun with a friendly neighbor pup, enjoying zoomies and wrestling. She's also a big fan of toys and loves playing with her humans. Splashing in water, whether in a kiddie pool or a stream, brings her immense joy, and she's a fantastic car rider, making her perfect for road trips and park visits.
There are cats in her foster home, and Venus shows a strong interest in chasing them, so a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be the best fit for her. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well in a family with older, respectful kids who understand boundaries.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she is truly part of the family. A home without cats is strongly recommended. A family with older, respectful children could also be a great fit.

Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She is still working on leash manners as she can pull, but she is a quick learner and very food motivated. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites from other dogs' meals.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. Out-of-state adoption is possible, and transports run every few weeks. If approved, Venus will be on the next available transport. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
