Meet Maximus! Max is a Lab/mixed breed. Maybe a little Boxer, maybe a little Beagle, maybe a little Husky. He is 100% a heroic, good boy!

At just 1 year old and 66 pounds, Maximus is basically the canine version of an action movie star. He is smart, loyal, brave, and always ready for adventure. Whether he is romping around with other dogs, investigating a squeaky toy like it contains classified information, or proudly standing beside his humans, this boy is ready to transform your life.

And just like every great hero, Maximus has already survived a battle.

He was surrendered to rescue after being attacked by another dog, leaving his former owners unable to cover the medical bills for his injuries. But true to his name, Maximus fought through it all with courage and heart.

Now fully healed, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, he is ready for his next mission: Finding a forever family.

Maximus loves to play with both male and female dogs and has already shown he is a social, playful guy. He is deeply loyal and eager to connect with his people. He is also discovering toys and the simple joy of finally getting to just be a happy dog again.

Behind the big paws and powerful name is a dog who simply wants love, safety, and someone to stand beside forever.

Some dogs come into your life quietly.

Maximus arrives like a blockbuster movie soundtrack with floppy ears.

Maximus Transport:

Maximus is neutered, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

Adoption fee is $350 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet him.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
