About Polly

Meet Polly, a delightful 38lb Cattle Dog Retriever mix with the heart of a puppy and the sweetest personality. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and fully up to date on all of her preventatives, making her ready to head straight into her forever home. Polly has a gentle, go-with-the-flow nature and loves being part of whatever her people are doing. She enjoys toys, playing with other dogs, and has a bouncy, happy energy when it’s time for fun. Polly has also been around kids aged 6 and up and has done well with them. While Polly enjoys playtime, she’s actually a pretty low-energy girl overall. She’s just as happy to relax and cuddle as she is to toss around a toy. She’s affectionate, snuggly, and loves being close to her people. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she realizes she’s safe. Polly has great house manners; she’s fully house-trained and crate-trained for up to six hours. She does well in the car and has no issues with resource guarding or food aggression.

Ideal Home

Polly will thrive in almost any home, whether it's a family, a couple, or someone looking for a loyal companion. She should be crated when unsupervised as she can sometimes get into things if left loose.

Ongoing Health

Polly is spayed, vaccinated, and fully up to date on all preventatives.

Training & Support

Polly is currently working on her leash manners and may pull sometimes, but she’s easy to manage. Like many young dogs, Polly is still figuring out some of the rules of home life and will need a patient adopter who is willing to keep guiding her. With consistency and routine, she’ll continue to blossom.
