Granite

Hi, my name is Granite! Don't let my name fool you, I am the softest and cuddliest boy around! I love nothing more than following my foster dad and foster siblings around so I can get all the pets and love. I came to Minnesota from New Mexico to find my forever home. My mom is a Pitbull/mix, and my dad is a Boxer.

Ideal Home

Granite would love a home where he can get plenty of pets and attention. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has learned to respect boundaries with a more grumpy resident dog. He also enjoys playing with his more energetic canine housemate and showering other dogs with kisses. He was indifferent when he met the resident cat. He also loves to make new human friends and snuggle on the couch.

Ongoing Health

Granite is a young dog and is still learning about the world around him.

Training & Support

Granite is doing very well on potty training but still has the occasional accident. He is great at going potty right away when taken outside. He is working on enjoying his kennel but would much rather be out with his foster family. At night, he sleeps in his kennel outside his foster dad's bedroom. He has mastered "sit" and is working on "stay," "place," "come," and "down." His most valuable rewards are treats and praise for being a good boy! He doesn't mind small animals like squirrels and bunnies he sees outside and he dislikes barking.
