REX, a.k.a Rexie the Bestie, a volunteer FAV

Rex is tall, dark, and handsome! He is a bubbly, outgoing guy who loves to run and play, sit for treats, and hang with his people. He wants nothing more than validation that he is a good boy and offers guaranteed kisses 24/7! Rex is an absolute favorite of many volunteers, especially since he climbs into good laps easily. This sweetheart is such a snuggler, thinking he's a lap dog at nearly 70 lbs! Rex was rescued as a stray and has not had an easy start. He fell into the wrong hands at some point in his life and has been betrayed by the people that were supposed to protect him. He is now ready to find his forever person or people to share all his love with. Rex has attended several adoption events and done exceptionally well, even visiting a local bar for an Astro's watch party where he was sweet and happy to be there, receiving lots of hugs and kisses. He has also accompanied volunteers to dog-friendly restaurants, patiently and peacefully lying under the table.

Ideal Home

Rex is a dog who loves attention and will happily snuggle up on the couch with his humans. He is dog selective and friendly with proper introductions, preferring female dogs.

Rex is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He is eligible for 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

Transporation

Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included and may go to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles converted for dog transport. Adopters can track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for tracking dogs on transport.
