Meet RedTeddy Poodles. RedTeddy is a small scale breeder with a big scale ambition: to offer a wonderful Poodle - one who is healthy, happy, and certifiably not from a puppy mill - a happy, playful and well adjusted puppy. We are currently breeding red, apricot and cream colors, both Miniature and Toys, and a size that is about eight to twelve pounds - between a true Mini and a true Toy Poodle, as well as smaller Toy Poodles, and larger 14 to 22 pound Miniatures. Located in the Hudson Valley between NYC and Albany NY, RedTeddy has been breeding for over ten years. We test for patellas, hips (for Minis only), and prn/prna plus other genetic diseases. We mostly feed a raw diet based on local beef, chicken and venison, adding in vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, lale, probiotics and vitamins. Our puppies spend lots of time outside (weather permitting) via doggie doors, so they are well on their way to being house trained when they leave here for their forever families at nine to eleven weeks. Their early lives involve lots and lots of human handling, love and attention as well as animal-kind socialization. They play with two large dogs (a Fox Lab and a Golden Doodle) so they come to your home unafraid of other larger dogs. They make happy friendly, human loving, life-long companions who also love other animals, even cats.
