She and her three puppies were found living in an alley, trying to survive on their own, before being taken to an overcrowded shelter where they were heartbreakingly placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn't enough space. Thankfully, Poppy was given the second chance she deserved and now this beautiful girl is ready to find a forever home where she will never have to wonder if she's safe again. Poppy is the definition of gentle and loving, with a soft, affectionate nature and soulful eyes. She's calm, sweet, and enjoys simply being near her people. Poppy has wonderful manners and a peaceful personality. She enjoys playing with her toys but isn't destructive, making her an easy companion to have around the house. Outside, she enjoys exploring at her own pace, taking in all the sights and smells on her walks. She's not overly noisy. Mealtime is one of her favorite parts of the day, and she takes treats very gently from your hand like the polite little lady she is.
