Marti is a charming 13-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a heart full of love to share. This sweet senior boy, weighing around 15 lbs, is seeking a peaceful and affectionate home where he can receive the attentive care he truly deserves in his golden years. He's a house-trained and well-socialized fellow, getting along wonderfully with children, cats, and dogs of all sizes. Marti enjoys the company of his canine siblings, a 5-year-old Standard Poodle and a 7-year-old Bull Mastiff, showcasing his calm and amiable nature. He's a devoted companion who simply desires a cozy spot to relax and plenty of affection.

Ongoing Health

Marti is managing several health conditions, including a collapsing trachea, an enlarged heart, arthritis, and luxating patella. He will require a committed adopter to continue his care and ensure he remains comfortable. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

While Marti is not formally trained, he has no history of biting. However, due to discomfort from arthritis, he can be a little sensitive during grooming. He would benefit from a patient and understanding groomer and adopter who can manage this gently.
