Bombon

Bombon is a approximately 9-month-old female German Shepherd mix, weighing around 33 lbs and standing 16 inches tall. She's a shy and suspicious girl at first, but once she trusts you, she's incredibly affectionate, playful, and cuddly. Bombon loves to run, hike, and shower her humans with kisses. She's also brave, walks well on a leash, is intelligent, and an excellent learner. She enjoys the company of children and other dogs and is crate trained.

Bombon was rescued as a young puppy in Saltillo, Mexico, after being found alone near her deceased brother. She was a bit anemic and underwent treatment, but she has since recovered and is ready for her forever home.

Ideal Home

Bombon would thrive in an active family with a fenced backyard. She needs a family that understands the needs of rescued animals and is committed to providing her with continued protection and education. Previous experience with dog behavior and training, as well as a high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Bombon has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated with DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella, and dewormed. She tested negative for heartworm and is up-to-date on her monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Nexgard Spectra). She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet. She is NOT house-trained.

Training & Support

Bombon is crate trained but not house-trained. Her foster parents have been unable to house-train her due to the sheer number of animals they care for. She will need a dedicated family willing to work on this with patience and consistency.

Transportation

Bombon is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast of the United States in January/February 2023. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers delivery to the adopter's home address.
