Thaddeus

Meet Thaddeus, a handsome 4–6-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a heart of gold! This resilient boy is a true survivor, having recently been rescued from life on the streets. Despite his tough start, Thaddeus (lovingly nicknamed "Theo") amazed us all with his incredible spirit and earned top marks for his behavior during his exam. Now safe and sound in a foster home, Theo is blossoming and learning all about the joys of family life with the guidance of his canine siblings. He's a sweet, affectionate, and eager-to-please pup who thrives on connection and adores being included in all family activities. While he's gaining confidence daily and still learning, Theo can sometimes be a little shy around new people and experiences, and he does experience some separation anxiety. He's an active, happy dog with a playful personality, always up for an adventure, whether it's a hike or a cozy snuggle on the couch.

Ideal Home

Theo would love a family who can continue to help him build security and routine to manage his separation anxiety. He enjoys the company of other friendly dogs and would likely do well with a canine companion. Because he can get a little nippy when overstimulated or excited, a home with older children is recommended. A cat-free home will be important for Theo, as he shows excessive interest in felines.

Ongoing Health

Theo is recovering from a period of severe emaciation and is now filling out nicely.

Training & Support

Theo is developing a fairly consistent recall and truly tries to do the right thing. He would benefit from a home committed to helping him continue building confidence and routine.
