Zeus McGoose is a handsome and sweet approximately 2-year-old boy, weighing around 28 lbs. We believe he may be a Cocker Spaniel mix, but whatever his breed, he's a genetic jackpot! Zeus has the most captivating golden-red fur, adorable freckles, and expressive forehead wrinkles, all framed by the most wonderful floppy ears. He's the kind of dog that makes you smile instantly.
Zeus's personality is as delightful as his looks. He's fun, easygoing, and strikes a perfect balance of playful and affectionate. He enjoys his toys, especially squeaky ones, and will happily entertain himself or join in on the fun. He's also a smart cookie, knows how to sit, loves treats with a gentle mouth, and is eager to please.
Ideal Home
Zeus would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can play with his toys, zoom around, and enjoy a good sunbath. While he's done wonderfully with smaller dogs in his foster home, we're happy to arrange a meet-and-greet with a dog of similar temperament to ensure a good fit. We haven't seen him with children yet, but we believe he has great potential as a family dog for a family with older kids.
Ongoing Health
Zeus is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. He has also been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Zeus is crate-trained and does wonderfully in his crate. He is also making great progress with potty training, with very few accidents in the house. His foster describes him as eager to please, which makes training him a rewarding experience.

Transportation
Zeus is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will be able to track your pet's journey in real time with photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
