Meet the breeder
Meet Waggy Shaggy Tails. Welcome to Waggy Shaggy Tails! To get to know all of our puppies better, please visit our Instagram (@waggyshaggytails) and our website at waggyshaggytails.my.canva.site and enjoy the most recent videos and photos . We have 4 female puppies ready for adoption. They each have had their 3rd and final shots in their vaccination series along with their first year rabies shot. There are no other vet visits until their booster shots at 10 months old. They will nap comfortably during the day both outside on the patio, on the floor in the house or in their crate as well as sleep through the night in their crates without going potty. In the morning, we open the crates and they go potty outside in the grass. They have their full tails (thus the Waggy Shaggy) with their dew claws removed. Parents Oliver & Bluebelle live in our home with 6 of us and every puppy gets loads of attention and socialization. We’re noting their personalities so each family can be sure to adopt the perfect match for the lifestyle they have. If you would like to welcome one of these sweet, wonderful little girls into your home, please email waggyshaggytails@gmail.com or call us at 352-242-2797 and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Please leave a message if we do not pick up the phone. OUR STORY and BACKGROUND Hello and happy 2026! We hope your year is off to a great start. Welcome to the Waggy Shaggy Tail family from Florida. My name is Robert Householder, and my family and I are glad you are here. We are a loud, boisterous family full of love for each other and our three Old English Sheepdogs, Sassy (the third), Bluebelle, and Oliver. My background with Old English Sheepdogs starts in 1966 when my parents got Sassy (the first), and made her part of our Minnesota family. After having Sassy, there was no looking back, and I knew that Old English Sheepdogs would be an important part of my life. Over time, Dandy and Taffy were added to our family as well. Fast forward to early 1986, we had moved to Florida, and I was in college when I met "the one" (my future wife). Of course, during our many conversations, the talk of marriage came up, and I told her that I only had three non-negotiables. First, I want kids (preferably 5), second, I want to live on a lake, and third, I want to have Old English Sheepdogs, and if she were good with that, we would be good to go! She said she was, and we were off to the races! Now here we are, forty years later, we have five children, we live on a lake, and we have had many Old English Sheepdogs over the years. Sassy the Second, Bailey Dakota, and Dixie Belle were all important and incredible parts of our family, as are Sassy the Third, Bluebell, and Oliver Bingley now. We have been and will always be an OES family, and now, because Oliver and Bluebelle have had their first litter, thirteen families will be able to adopt a new member to their clan, and begin experiencing unconditional love, joy, and companionship from one of the most lovable, kind, and spectacular breeds. Our puppies have their full tails and their dew claws removed. Back in the day (long ago), Old English Sheepdogs were corralling dogs and worked in the fields, so in order to prevent a possible injury, their tails were docked. Now, I have been around these wonderful dogs my entire life and have never met anyone who actually had them working out in the fields, corralling animals, or ever doing any other kind of activity that needs tails docked. In fact, all I have ever known them to be are giant cuddly lapdogs and cushy couch potatoes. Since the AKC allows registration of an Old English Sheepdog with a full tail, our puppies all keep their Waggy Shaggy Tails, which allows them to communicate great joy and excitement for you! If you are interested in adopting one of our puppies into your family, or have any questions, please reach out, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you for spending time looking over our AKC Marketplace Ad, and I hope you have a great day. Robert AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
