Smokey is a 2-year-old, 53-pound male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. He's fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and he's ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a super sweet boy who just wants love and attention. He's very smart, a quick learner, and incredibly submissive with no mean bone in his body. He enjoys playing with other dogs and loves a good game of chase, but he also enjoys cuddling up on the couch and watching TV with his foster family. With his gentle nature and friendly personality, he's the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, easygoing dog who loves to snuggle. He's a loyal, sweet companion who just wants to be part of a family.
Ideal Home
Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. He would also do really well in a home with a doggie companion as he loves playing with other dogs. Smokey would love a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained. He walks great on a leash and is easily redirected if he gets excited around strangers. He does get excited in the beginning and will pull just slightly, but he settles in and walks calmly by your side once the excitement wears off. Smokey is not a huge fan of the crate and prefers not to be shut in. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, but he doesn't tear anything up and eventually stops crying.
