About Coraline

Coraline is a sweet, curious, silly, and cuddly 6-month-old pup who weighs 45 lbs. She's an estimated Doberman or Beauceron mix and is expected to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. Coraline has an endlessly entertaining and quirky charm that is sure to keep her new family laughing. She loves a good game of peek-a-boo and will follow it up with the cutest happy zoomies. Coraline is deeply people-oriented and loves to be near her humans, quietly observing their day. She's not overly clingy but shows her affection with sweet puppy kisses and gentle paw or nose rests. Coraline has a wonderfully calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. She's happy to entertain herself quietly on her dog bed or with a toy. She's also incredibly social with people and other dogs, greeting new friends with a calm approach before happily playing. Coraline is the best of both worlds: playful yet laid back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive. She'll be your loyal sidekick and best friend.

Ideal Home

Coraline is a low-to-medium energy pup who enjoys short bursts of play and zoomies. She's more laid back but her energy may increase as she gets older. She'd thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks and hikes to cozy evenings on the couch. Coraline loves to be involved in her family's daily routine and will be content with short walks and backyard play sessions, but is happy to join on longer adventures too. She would benefit from a family that understands she is not the most confident in busy public areas but has the potential to be an amazing outdoor adventure buddy with more exposure and socialization. She would absolutely adore a family that includes her in their outdoor adventures while also appreciating her calm, affectionate nature at home. Coraline needs a home with a fenced yard to run and play in. No apartments or condos due to her size and potential nervousness in busy areas. She needs to have her human home more often than not, but would do well with doggy daycare a few days a week. Her ideal family will spend lots of quality time with her and love her unconditionally.

Ongoing Health

Coraline is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has had any necessary vet care while in rescue.

Training & Support

Coraline is potty and kennel trained and sleeps in her kennel at night with no fuss, though she loves to sleep in bed with her foster mom. She uses doggy stairs to get on the bed and will curl up at the foot of the bed or sleep in a dog bed next to yours. She's treat-motivated and will go into her kennel willingly when treats are offered. Coraline is still working on leash training and needs extra practice to boost her confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with rewards. She is doing well with potty training and alerts her foster mom by pacing at the back door. She can use a dog door and will let herself out to potty. She needs to be taken out every 3-4 hours initially and kept on a consistent schedule. A doggy doorbell is recommended if there isn't a dog door.
