Zella

Meet Zella! This sweet 7-year-old Mini Poodle Mix is ready to leave her puppy mill past behind and find her forever family. Zella is a loving and friendly girl who enjoys gentle walks and is happy to settle in for quiet time with her people. She's especially affectionate and will be your devoted shadow, showering you with love. Zella's past has made her a bit of a Velcro dog, so she'll thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time.

Ideal Home

Zella would love a home where her people are around a lot, as she forms very strong bonds and enjoys being close to her humans. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, and is great with kids too, having lived with children aged 15, 13, and 11. She's not a fan of crates or pens due to her history.

Ongoing Health

Zella is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Zella is currently working on transitioning from potty pads to outdoor pottying, and has shown great promise in a fenced yard setting. She also needs some work on basic obedience. Because of her past, she prefers not to be crated or penned.

Transporation

Zella is currently being fostered near DeForest, WI. Transport to approved adopters within our rescue's radius can be discussed.
