Katy

Meet Katy! She's a 4-year-old sweet girl overflowing with tail wags, loyalty, and affection. Katy is the definition of a "Velcro dog" and simply wants to love and be loved. Her favorite place in the world is right beside her person, happily being a shadow on the couch, while you work around the house, or out on a walk. She enjoys playing with other dogs and walks beautifully on a leash. Her gentle nature and loving personality make her a quick family member. Sadly, Katy was surrendered to a high-kill shelter and was on the euthanasia list after her owners believed she had mange and didn't provide her with the care she needed. Once in rescue, it became clear she didn't have mange, but was stress scratching from her difficult past. With proper care and a safe place to decompress, her beautiful coat has started growing back and her true personality has blossomed. Through everything, Katy has never stopped loving people or wagging her tail. She's now healthy, happy, and ready for a fresh start and a family that will give her love, security, and a home.
