Diva

Diva is a 1-year-old, spayed Lab mix weighing approximately 35 pounds. She's a playful, affectionate, and outgoing girl who loves to run, play, and chase with other dogs. Diva walks politely on leash and mostly ignores cats, though she'll sneak a bite of their food if she can! She has a charming quirk of howling when corrected, as if arguing her side of the story. Diva is food motivated and eager to learn, but she should be fed separately from other dogs to prevent treat-snatching. She shares her toys well and loves meeting new people with a friendly, tail-wagging enthusiasm. She is still building comfort with car rides.

Ideal Home

Diva would thrive in a home with another dog who enjoys playtime and would do well with children old enough to manage her enthusiasm. She would best thrive with someone who is home most of the time to provide structure, love, and activity.

Training & Support

Diva is crate trained and does well for short periods. She is food motivated, making her eager to learn. She is vocal when corrected, which is endearing but will need to be managed. Diva needs time and consistency to build comfort with car rides.

Transporation

Diva is being fostered in Houston, TX. She can be transported out of state once matched with an approved adopter through rescue-arranged transport. Transports run every few weeks. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
