Lentil Lou The Loving Little Shepherd

Lentil Lou is a 1-year-old, 48 lb German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a spirit full of fun! She greets every day with a wagging tail and a desire to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four. Lentil Lou is a social butterfly who adores other dogs and loves to play, but she's also happy to snuggle up for a movie marathon. With her joyful personality and endless affection, she's sure to bring laughter and happiness into your home. Lentil Lou has a gentle nature and has been wonderful with young children, but we believe she would be happiest in a home with kids aged 12 and older.

Ideal Home

Lentil Lou would thrive in a home with a semi-active family who enjoys neighborhood walks and is looking for a super affectionate companion. A backyard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy the sunshine would be ideal. She's happy to be the center of attention or to join in on family adventures.

Ongoing Health

Lentil Lou is a rescue dog, and while we can't guarantee breed or age, she is a healthy, approximately 1-year-old pup.

Training & Support

Lentil Lou is a smart and eager-to-please girl who is motivated by treats. She already knows how to sit and is ready to learn more! She walks fairly nicely on a leash, with occasional pulls when excited. She is crate trained and potty trained. With patience and consistency, training with Lentil Lou will be a fun and rewarding bonding experience.

Lentil Lou is currently in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT.
