Titan is an 8-year-old, 130-pound Anatolian Shepherd mix who is basically a grumpy old man in a dog body, complete with strong opinions, a strict daily schedule, and absolutely zero tolerance for nonsense. He is a Livestock Guardian Dog through and through, meaning he's intelligent, independent, observant, and very aware of what's happening at all times. Titan knows exactly what he wants and expects you to know it too. Mandatory daily walks, clean drinking water, and decent treats are non-negotiable! He's whip-smart and will hold you accountable to his routines, patiently pacing and staring until you correct any mistakes. Titan prefers colder weather and considers snow both enrichment and a snack, happily crunching snow chunks while he supervises winter activities.
Ideal Home
Titan is friendly with respectful children around 10 years old and up who understand boundaries and can respect his need for personal space. He is not a dog who enjoys being climbed on, crowded, or having faces in his. He is protective of his food and treats, so mealtimes should be supervised and respected. He thrives on structure, predictability, and routine, so a home that can maintain his familiar rhythm is ideal. Titan experiences separation anxiety and forms incredibly strong bonds, so he would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not, such as retired adopters, work-from-home households, or people with flexible schedules. A physically fenced yard for him to patrol is a must.
