Panda is a shy but sweet 2-year-old, 50-pound Pittie mix who is as mellow as he is loving. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like chew toys and his daily walks. Panda thrives on routine and structure, finding comfort in knowing what to expect each day. He is a rescue who is sure to reward you with endless unconditional love and gratitude once he forms a deep bond with you. Panda is a great companion for other dogs, especially playful females, and he draws confidence from his canine friends. He was previously fostered in a home with children aged 5 and up and did well with them, showing he can be a wonderful family dog with respectful and sweet children. Panda loves to snuggle up at night and is a big fan of the couch, often inching closer to his people for comfort. He is also kennel and house-trained.
Ideal Home
Panda would thrive in a quiet and serene suburban or rural home. He needs to be in a home with at least one other dog, as he draws a lot of confidence from his canine companions. He is not recommended for a home with cats. While he did well with children aged 5 and up, they must be respectful and sweet with him.
Ongoing Health
Panda is a rescue dog and will need a patient adopter to allow him a full decompression period. He is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, and a heartworm test. He has also been microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Panda is great on leash and perfect for tandem walking, which is how he bonds with his people. He is a seasoned professional in the car and settles well in the backseat. He is kennel trained and house-trained. Panda will require a patient adopter who will allow him a full decompression period, and our behavior team and his foster mom will be available to provide insight and advice.
