Ferka is a charming Chihuahua, about 4 years old and weighing around 9 lbs. She's a little dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Ferka was found by a local rescue group outside a school and then discovered inside a church during Mass, comfortably mingling with people and other dogs. This sweet, social spirit is truly who Ferka is. She's crate-trained, rides calmly in the car, and gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, men, and women, even strangers. Ferka is affectionate, playful, and loves to give kisses, always eager for attention and to be part of the family's activities.
Ideal Home
Ferka would do best in a home with tolerant, playful dogs or with proper supervision, as her high energy can sometimes be overwhelming for other dogs. She cannot live with cats as she tends to chase them. A fenced backyard is preferred.
Ongoing Health
Ferka has received a spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and is microchipped. She has also had a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are included. Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and patience to overcome past traumas. Ferka is not house-trained.
Training & Support
Ferka is not house-trained, which is common for many rescued animals due to limited resources for individual training. Potential adopters should be prepared to work on house-training and have a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly recommended, or a willingness to hire a professional trainer is encouraged to help this intelligent dog thrive.

Transporation
Ferka is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel. Transportation is available via a contracted company that organizes scheduled trips (3-4 per year) for door-to-door delivery. This service includes all necessary legal documents, a USDA health certificate, and real-time updates during the journey. The transport fee is $400 USD.
