Tawny

Meet Tawny! This sweet girl was rescued from a county shelter just in time after being found as a stray. Despite her past, Tawny is an incredibly loving dog who thrives on attention and affection. She can be a bit timid around new people, especially men, but with a little patience and gentleness, she warms up quickly and will shower you with hugs and kisses.

Ideal Home

Tawny would do wonderfully in a home with another friendly, playful dog who can help build her confidence. She loves to play zoomies in the yard and would enjoy an active companion. She also did great with neighborhood kids during a recent foster stay, but may still be a little wary of men and shy at first. She is looking for a patient family who will help her feel secure and adored. Homes with invisible fences are not a good fit for Tawny.

Ongoing Health

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.

Training & Support

Tawny is still learning that people are kind and safe and can be easily spooked at times, but she is making incredible progress. She walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and was a superstar in the home during a foster stay, showing no accidents and sleeping soundly in her crate. She loves shredding toys, giving hugs, and being close to her people. She just needs a patient family to help her continue building confidence.

• We do not do same-day adoptions; a follow-up visit and trial period are required before official adoption.

Transporation

Tawny is located at our Cincinnati-based shelter. We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our shelter.
