Alba

Alba is a beautiful and loving 1-year-old Labrador Creole mix, weighing around 30 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024, found in a field with her six siblings. Alba is intelligent, obedient, and incredibly playful. She is also very sociable and gets along well with people, children, and other dogs. While she can be a little shy when first meeting new people, she quickly warms up and showers you with affection. Alba is dog and cat friendly, enjoys walks and playtime, and is very loyal and joyful. She is crate and leash trained.

Ideal Home

Alba would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and with experience in dog behavior and training. High tolerance and patience are essential for this sweet, imperfectly perfect pup. Alba is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Alba is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She also received a 4DX test and a health certificate. She is on monthly preventive treatment with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She has also been spayed.

Training & Support

Alba is crate and leash trained. However, she is not house-trained, and her new family will need to commit to ongoing potty training.

• An interview (phone/email) will be scheduled.
• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet and greet will be arranged.
• A trial adoption period will follow, with clear instructions for integration.

Transportation

Alba is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is available for transport to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure, covering delivery to the adopter's home address.
