Bailey is an almost 2-year-old bully cross weighing about 80lbs. She knows basic commands and walks well on leash when there isn't too much noise and stimulation. We have found that she is scared of loud noises and takes some convincing to go for walks. She does not consistently go potty on walks and is more comfortable going in the backyard. Bailey takes time to warm up to new people but can be won over with treats. She seems to have more fear of men and young children. We continue to work on introducing her to new people and she is being more receptive to strangers and less fearful. Once she trusts you and warms up to you, she is the sweetest, cuddlest and most loyal dog. She loves to follow her people around and is happiest just being near her people. When she’s happy, you’ll know because she grabs a toy and scrunches up her face and has full body wiggles. Bailey is looking for someone who can be very patient and understanding of her fears. She is looking for a quiet and calm household with someone who will let her take her time feeling comfortable and once she trusts you, she will be your loyal shadow. If you’re looking for a big sweet girl who thinks she’s a lap dog, Bailey’s the girl for you!
Ideal Home
Bailey would do best in a quiet and calm household. She is recommended to a home without young children. She loves to play with other dogs and has lived with dogs of various sizes. However, she has shown some dog selectiveness. She has not been cat tested but will generally ignore any that she sees on walks.
Ongoing Health
Bailey used to get car sick even on short rides but continues to show improvement and will now happily jump in the car and go for longer rides without trembling and getting sick.
