Hayes

Hayes is a 2-year-old, 50lb brown pup who prefers to explore and do his own thing at the shelter. He can be a little nervous around new people and things, but we think he'll really open up once he's in a loving home and has had time to decompress. During a recent "Dog's Day Out," Hayes proved to be a very sweet pup who loves truck rides and sticking his head out the window! He has a lot of energy for walks but is also happy to relax with you when needed. Hayes would appreciate some durable toys to satisfy his chewing needs and enjoys the occasional tummy rub. He already knows "sit" and quickly learned "shake."

Ideal Home

Hayes prefers to eat his food in peace and is looking for a home with teens and up. If you have other pets, we can discuss strategies to manage his mealtime preferences. He can be an introvert around other dogs and may do best with one-on-one interactions or a smaller group of dog friends. A dog introduction is recommended if you have another dog.

Ongoing Health

Hayes has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Hayes knows "sit" and "shake." He needs a home that will treat him with understanding and take things at his pace until he feels comfortable. We're happy to discuss his mealtime management with you during your visit.
