After spending his years on a Wisconsin breeding farm, Santo's farm days are finally behind him. Now, he's searching for a forever family that will show him all the love, comfort, and security he has been missing. Santo is a sweet boy with a gentle nature. While he can be shy when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, he has a soft, affectionate side that quickly shines through. Once he begins to feel safe, Santo enjoys attention and welcomes the kindness of those around him. Like many breeder-release dogs, Santo will need a patient family willing to let him adjust at his own pace. The world outside of the farm is still new to him, and building confidence takes time. With understanding, consistency, and plenty of love, Santo has all the potential to blossom into a devoted companion. Santo's absolute favorite place in the world is right next to you. Whether you're working from home, watching a movie, or reading a book, Santo will be curled up close. He has a wonderfully established, set personality he knows exactly who he is, and what he loves most is his humans. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and doesn't mind cats one bit. Santo is also a perfect gentleman on outdoor adventures and walks beautifully on a leash, making him a joy to take around the neighborhood. Santo prefers to be in the same room as his humans, happily curled up on a cozy dog bed right on the floor next to you at night. Santo is small in size but has a massive heart.
