About MIKE $200

My name is Mike, but my foster momma calls me Mikey! I'm about a year old and weigh just over 50 pounds. I'm listed as a lab/bully mix and so far I'm fitting in great as a Midwest dude! I'm looking for a new family that will love me and take care of me forever. I'm a good boy with great indoor manners. I love other dogs and I'm looking for a home with another dog, or two! I enjoy making new friends, but don't always come across that way at first; I'm just so excited to meet them! I'm a really good boy in my kennel, even going in to relax on my own, putting myself to bed at nighttime, and keeping it nice and clean with no accidents. I've also been trusted out of my kennel when my people are gone. I know to use the bathroom outside and will go to the door and sit to show you I need to go out. I like to cuddle and be held, but also like to take in all the smells around me. I'm wonderful in the car and my mom says I'm the best cuddler! I've learned "sit" and "down" and I'm learning to give paw or roll over. I wait at the door until I'm told "okay" before heading outside. I live with other dogs and teenagers and love everyone in my home, but I am afraid of a lot of strangers, and meeting new people makes me nervous. Other dogs help me with my confidence, and I'm looking for a home where I will have a big brother or sister to play with and help me feel more at home. I know you'll love me once you meet me, and I promise to love you too... eventually!

Ideal Home

Mike is looking for a home with at least one other dog to help build his confidence. He is nervous around strangers and new people.

Ongoing Health

Mike has no known health conditions. His adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test (if over 6 months), and a certified veterinary inspection.

Training & Support

Mike knows "sit" and "down" and is learning "give paw" and "roll over." He waits at the door to be let out. He is working on his confidence around new people.
