Barclay

Hi, I'm Barclay. Earlier this summer, I was found in a single house with 134 other dogs. Eighteen of us were then brought to Big Lake Humane Society as part of a nationwide rescue effort. Because of the conditions we endured in that situation, we do not know what it's like to be a companion dog. Now that we are safe and carefully looked after by loving people with lots of patience, we are slowly learning to relax into a better way of life for ourselves as companion dogs. We desperately needed this chance to shine.

Ideal Home

A fenced-in yard is preferred, as well as a preparedness to handle my tendencies to bolt. It would be ideal for there to be at least one other dog in my forever home, to mentor me in the "Ways of Dogging with Humans" as I am accustomed to being around other dogs. They will be able to help me learn basics, like walking on leash, going outside and helping me understand my new human family.
