Let me introduce you to a social, happy, affectionate girl... Meet Harlen! She brings wiggly enthusiasm and great energy to every interaction and her personality shines from the moment you meet her. Harlen is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and is a likely pittie mix weighing in at 69 pounds of wiggles. Harlen is happiest when shes surrounded by friends- dog or human. She wiggles with excitement as soon as she sees someone coming her way.
Harlen is wonderful with other dogs and adapts beautifully to different play styles. She was playful and confident with younger dogs, but could easily overpower a dog because she is young and hasn't quite learned how big she is. With calmer dogs, she was so respectful, offering kisses when meeting, followed by a gentle invitation to play. Harlen is also cat tolerant! She met our house cat politely and was able to walk away without prompting, showing great emotional control. A slow introduction at home is still recommended, but she showed very encouraging behaviors. She has no resource guarding concerns with dogs or humans, though she is absolutely the type to steal unattended snacks - not out of mischief, just out of oops, I thought that was for me! A little guidance and remembering not to leave anything too delicious looking just sitting around and it won't be an issue at all.
Ideal Home
Harlen would be happy in either a house with a yard or an apartment with enough exercise. A family that enjoys playtime, walks, and laughing at her goofy antics will be a perfect match.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions were mentioned.
Training & Support
Harlen is young so training and on-going practice of her skills is to be expected. She has great basic leash skills and walks well on leash overall, she just needs a little polishing, but shes eager, responsive, and loves checking in with her people.
