Annie

Annie is a sweet, spunky Shih Tzu and poodle mix pup, weighing 7 lbs, and estimated to be around 20 lbs when fully grown. She's about 3-4 months old and absolutely adores being doted on by her humans. Annie is curious by nature, always the first to investigate new toys, noises, and people. She's a social butterfly that loves meeting new friends, both human and canine, making her the perfect pup for an active family who enjoys including their fur-baby in everyday life. Her laid-back demeanor means she can adapt easily to different environments and loves a good family adventure. Whether she's playing with other dogs, cuddling with her foster mom, or chasing her toys, Annie is always happy as long as she's with her humans. She's playful and curious when it's time for fun, but also loves to relax and lounge on the couch. Annie entertains herself with her toys and enjoys naps, making her a great companion for those who work from home. Her adaptable personality means she'd fit beautifully into a variety of homes. She'd love an active family that enjoys walks and outdoor activities, but she'd also be equally happy with a family that prefers cozy evenings at home filled with snuggles.

Ideal Home

Annie would thrive in a home where she can be included in her family's daily life and receive plenty of love, exercise, and attention. A fenced yard would be wonderful for her to run and play, allowing her to get frequent exercise and mental stimulation. She'd love a home with another playful, friendly dog and some children to cuddle and play with, though she would also be happy as the "only child" receiving all the love and affection. She would love to have fun adventures going on outings around town or visiting Sniff Spots for enrichment. A home where a human works from home or has a hybrid schedule is ideal, but if not, a dog sitter or doggy daycare is recommended for longer workdays. She cannot go 8+ hours without playtime and potty breaks.

Ongoing Health

Annie is still a puppy and is starting to teethe. Her new family will need to keep a watchful eye to ensure she doesn't chew on inappropriate items.

Training & Support

Annie is kennel trained and potty trained, and has started leash training. She sleeps in her kennel at night and hangs out in it during the day. She alerts her foster family when she needs to go outside by circling at the back door. It is recommended to use a doggy doorbell to help her learn to notify you when she needs to go out. She picks up on new schedules quickly and won't take long to adjust, but will need a consistent schedule and to be taken out every few hours initially in a new environment. She will need additional practice to perfect her leash walking skills.

• The cost to adopt is $850, which includes a $400 adoption fee, a $250 transport fee, and a $200 REFUNDABLE spay deposit.
• The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, health certificate, and necessary vet care while in rescue.
• The $200 refundable spay deposit will be paid directly to the adopter's vet once Annie is old enough for the procedure.

Transportation

Annie is currently located in a foster home. Wags offers monthly transports to various cities and states. Adoptive families will need to meet the transport to pick up their new family member.
