Ziggy is a magnificent 1.5-year-old Akita mix with a heart as big as his fluffy frame! He's got a handsome face, a sturdy build, and one delightfully crooked ear that adds to his unique charm. If you're looking for a loyal and adventurous companion, Ziggy might just be your guy!

Ideal Home

Ziggy dreams of a home that loves the outdoors as much as he does! He'd thrive with an active family who enjoys long walks, hiking, or simply exploring the wonders of nature. Because he's a strong and powerful breed, he'll need a confident handler who is comfortable with large dogs. Ziggy would do best in an adult-only home and as the only pet, as he prefers to be the center of attention and can be uneasy around small children.

Ongoing Health

Ziggy has been neutered and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, flea and tick treatments, and deworming. He also comes with a microchip.

Training & Support

Ziggy walks well on a leash and is looking for a family committed to positive, force-free training methods. He does resource guard his food, so his new family will need to be mindful and implement simple management practices around mealtimes to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. An adopter experienced with guardian breeds or willing to learn about their specific needs would be ideal.
