Meet Willow! This calm, sweet, low-energy girl is still learning that the world can be a safe place. She was rescued from an overcrowded municipal shelter in Houston, TX, where she was completely shutdown. Thankfully, a volunteer recognized her potential and offered to foster her, and now Willow is ready to find her forever home. She loves treats and will happily walk beautifully on leash. While passing cars can still make her nervous, she's making steady progress and is becoming more confident every day. Willow coexists well with other dogs, though she prefers her own space and a peaceful environment. Once she feels comfortable, her affection shines through with the softest tail wags, gentle pets, and an immediate invitation for belly rubs. She'll quietly stick close to her person, bringing a sense of peace to any home. Willow is potty trained and is a pro at crating, often putting herself to bed. She enjoys chewing on bones, puzzle toys, and relaxing in quiet spaces. Willow is estimated to be 4 years old and weighs around 65 lbs. She has just finished heartworm treatment and is ready to find her patient, loving adopter who understands that some dogs need time to feel safe. Once she trusts you, she gives you her whole heart.
