Meet Benji, a charming 10-year-old "Perfect American Mutt" who's ready to find his cozy retirement home! Weighing in at 18.4 pounds, Benji was a stray found in Tennessee and is now looking for a soft place to land for his golden years. He's a chill companion who loves a good pet and lounging around, making him the ideal partner for relaxing afternoons, perhaps while you enjoy a podcast. Benji has had a bit of a rough start, but a recent grooming session has him looking and feeling his best. He gets along well with older dogs but prefers to avoid the boisterous energy of puppies. Benji's journey has left him with limited hearing and some vision impairment due to cataracts, but he remains an independent and happy boy. He walks nicely on a leash, appears to be house-trained, and enjoys car rides. A home with a fenced yard is ideal for Benji. While he's not much of a toy enthusiast, he truly cherishes cuddles and affection. He's content just to be in the same room as his humans, offering quiet companionship. And for a special treat, Benji has a particular fondness for McDonald's chicken nuggets!
Ideal Home
Benji would thrive in a calm home where he can relax and be pampered. He does well with older dogs but would prefer to not live with puppies due to their high energy. Benji has not yet been introduced to children or cats.
